Tiny Ibiza

I never noticed my car was small until Steve tried to squeeze in.

Godiva Roasted Almond & Honey Bar

Too sweet, too salty, too crunchy, is it possible?

Kelvar Jeans

I have wanted a pair of Kelvar jeans since I first saw them, but I could not justify to myself for a pair for it is summer wear, and there isn't that many summer days short rides.

I thought about getting it in January sale, but Sarah beat me to it, she got it me for Christmas.

I only just got the chance to wear them.  They are quite comfortable, definitely a good gift, good decision.  I just need to start wearing them now.

Smart Solution for Dodgy Switch

Apparently it is common for the power button to fail and I just have to adjust the way I use the phone.  I downloaded an app to wake the phone.  I need to make sure the phone doesn't run out of juice!

Bicycle Helmet Cam

I finally used the camera on the bicycle helmet.  It worked well, except it sticks above my head and I kept hitting things with the camera, luckily it came with a sturdy platic case.

Allergic to Nature

We helped clearing out in the woods, and my sinus strongly complained.  I am not sure I can cope with that again.  Winter maybe better when everything is dead/dormant.

Oakwood on Friday

I thought we would get some take away for a Friday.  On a sunny Friday, Oakwood junction is impossible!  Cars in and out of Roundhay and all the revellers to all the eateries.  Avoid!

Frey Supreme Dark Chocolate Crunchy Nut

I liked the Frey Supreme Milk Crunchy Nut so I went to get the dark one.

I am a bit disappointed.

Paws in Work

The company has organized some wellness sessions, which include puppies and flower arrangement.  I can already imagine the smell, and that is not pleasant.

Dodgy Nuts

Every few years, I forget the nut in shell lesson, usually by the fact they are on January sale.

The problem is not just the mess of the shell, is that we cannot see judge the condition of the nuts inside from the outside. These nuts all look gorgeous outside, and just about all the walnut was off, what is that fuss?

So I complained, and the have sent me a complimentary box of goodies, all's well that ends well.

No more whole nuts!

Watching Old Movie with New Lens

"They Came Together" was a 2014 movie, they are primarily SNL crew, so it was going to be silly.  Viewing it using today's standard, there are a few things that was bad taste, the worst being a police shooting an unarmed albeit violent criminal in the face.

Banana Blossom

First jack fruit, then banana blossom, the vegans really want to kill the planet eating food with high carbon footprints.

Frey Supreme Milk Chocolate Crunchy Nut

Frey Supreme Milk Chocolate Crunchy Nut exceeds my expectation, it is nearly as good as the Lindt stuff.

Chippy Van

I was waiting for Sarah in Thorner,  then I hear a van with music pulled up.   "That was an ugly ice-cream van," I thought.   Then Sarah told me that is the Chippy Van!   No wonder.   Their chips were a bit,  tasteless.

Razor clams

When we were in Shetland, the lady in the museum told us to use salt to get the snoots out. We watched some video online, it is dead easy, so next time!

At the same time, I just realised we are eating its foot!

Indoor Daffodils

I picked some daffodils from my garden to the house.  I have two types, one smells, another doesn't.  Then I wanted to pick more only to find they are all on their way out, so I picked some from an undisclosed location instead.  These one are very large, but they also don't smell.  I am not sure I can be bothered to keep up with the free cut flower supplies.

Weed Salting

Someone told me grit kills moss and salt kills dandelions.  So I went all out, I gritted all the weed, grass, cracks.  Most of them have wilted, let's hope they stay down.

Adhesive Activation

I did a poor job fitting last tank pad.   Genspeed Gary gave me one of his old dusty tank pad that had been sitting on his shelf for years for free.  He said he usually warm it up in lamps first.

I finally got a nice sunny to do it.  I took the old pad off, got all the old adhesive off, washed and dried off.  It was sunny, but it was not that warm.

I left the pad in the Sun to warm up slightly, then I used the wheat bag to warn the tank.  Once applied, I kept using the wheat bag over the pad.  Now it is fitted nicely, I am relatively happy with the result, albeit a little wonky!

Home Made Lasagne

Now that I learnt to make white sauce from a microwave, I am now trying new recipes that I previously cannot.  I came across Allegra McEvedy's lasagne.  I cannot possibly fit all those white sauce and all the cheese in!  It was very rich already!

Easter Egg (Bargain) Hunt

I was reliably informed there were some supermarkets sold out Easter eggs,  and my annual Easter egg hunt maybe scuppered.

Undeterred,  I set out for my hunt.   There wasn't a big pallet of discounted eggs by the door, so I proceeded to the next check points.   The first check point had a few Easter bits,  but nothing I wanted.

Finally at the last check point,  I found one and only!  Success!

Escrow

I always wondered what escrow actually meant,  and I thought it might have been acronym or something.

https://www.etymonline.com/word/escrow

escrow (n.) 1590s, in law, "a writing fully executed by the parties, but put into the custody of a third person to hold until the fulfilment of some condition, when it is to be delivered to the grantee;" from Anglo-French escrowe, from Old French escroe "scrap, small piece, rag, tatter, single parchment," from a Germanic source akin to Old High German scrot "a scrap, shred, a piece cut off" (see shred (n.)). The notion of a deed delivered to a third person until a future condition is satisfied led to the sense of "a deposit of money held in trust or security" (1888).

Valeting

We had a little car wash session at home.  For the basic car wash, I really much prefer a machine does it in 5 minutes.  It was a lot of work but not much to show for.  Then we touched up a few spots and polished a panel on Sarah's car, again, I would rather pay someone to do a proper valeting job.

Recipe Resets

I have always take a recipe and freestyle it, to a point that it does not reassemble the original recipes, usually resulting in very puritanical food.  So I have started following the recipe again, and just make slight adjustment.  The food tastes almost too nice, was it the sugar, the salt or the fat?

Mini Malteaster Bunny

We got a small Easter egg, and this one came with a mini bunny.  I had a Malteaster bunny before, so I didn't pay too much attention on the "mini" bunny.  So when we came to eat the mini bunny, it is microscopic!

Kate on a GS

When Kate pushed out the gianormous GS, me thinking about getting ride of my tourer sounding like a wimp!  Argghh.  Seriously Kate?

Local Litter Picking

Sarah got us some bags for litter picking.   I did some little picking on the beaches,  but not so much on my street.  Litter picking is like painting Forth Bridge,  endless.   I joined Sarah as the moving bin,  it is very boring,  and more grim without the backdrop of the beach.

Anand Sweets

When Sarah showed me the Indian savories shops in Leicester, I always wondered where are the ones in Leeds.

As seen on TV, when they mentioned Anand, I remember driving pass it and it got the word "Sweets" as part of the name, I didn't know they also sell savories!  So we got a few samosas as recommeded by Nadiya.  So the samosas went up in price!  It was 60p, and their website still has the old price, but they are now charging 70p! These samosa are nicely seasoned, not too hot, extremely moreish, dangerous!

I spotted some halwa, which is sold by weight, and they all their take away containers were normal take away container size, ie size for a main!  The halwa also turned out to be delicious.

P.s. we ate them so quick,  didn't get to take any pictures.

Sing Kee Leeds

I haven't been to Sing Kee main store on for nearly a year, they have done a major reorganisation and now it is a large accessible supermarket, I am very pleased.
