Clough Force on Clough

Clough Force was starred on the OS map, and since it was near us, we went for a walk.  We followed the path on the OS map and we could only see the Clough Force from above, afar.  The ravine was inaccessible or not signed.  If it is inaccessible, why did it deserve a star on the map?  Additionally, the path was marshy and has bulls, for what we managed to see, it was not really worth the risks.
