Ireland Motorcycling Day 2

I had some sausage and hashbrown, ie smashed up chips, for breakfast.  I had a look at the local beach, there were horse riding at the beach.

We set off for a ride.  It was a mountain ride.  The Cardo tracked my ride well. It was fun until we got a bit tired. The final stop, I got some local soft serve ice-cream.

I had a bath and more sausage and chips, whilst everyone was down at the restaurant waiting for their food.

Some of them were up for some board games, way past my bed time, so I passed.

Ireland Motorcycling Day 0

I made my way to Anglesey the night before the sailing.  It was a long ride, and it was quite rainy, so it took a while.  I was tempted for a diversion of Welsh Food Centre, it was just about closing time when I arrive, so I just had a quick bite and a cup of tea.

We had some wood fire pizza by the coast, followed by some ice-cream.  They were okay.  The ice-cream was so hard that she cracked the cone, and I nearly dropped the whole thing, I caught it with my bare hand.

The caravan was fine, we were surrounded by cows.

Brymor at Helmsley

I think Brymor is tastiest at the farm parlour.  I just feel a massive sting when I get mine at Helmsley!!!

Ice-cream on the Beach

Partial heat stroke stops me from the great Yorkshire war cry!  Three quid that!

Unflurry Mcflurry

We went to a local McDonald's, I cannot believe they didn't flurry my Mcflurry!

Morecambe Glutton

We had a full English breakfast at the B&B, then went to Port of Lancaster Smokehouse for some lunch with the view of River Lune.  Then we went to Wallings, where we missed last time we were in the area, for some icecream, we never knew any icecream parlour actually fill the waffle cone, we were stuffed.

Lastly, we went to someone's house for dinner, they gave me a nice piece of fillet steak!

Isle of Man Day 3

Another long day on the island, we first went to the Ballaglass Glen, which has two streams containing a number of waterfalls.

Due to time constrain, we cut out Ramsey, we stopped at King Orry's grave then onto Laxey. The Laxey wheel was going when we arrived. We had a quick lunch at the train station, then we caught the electric train to Sneafell. It was fairly good weather and sunny in Laxey, but not so much at the top!

We had to warm up with a cup of tea whilst waiting for the return train.  Then I got a scoop of Davidson's icecream, it was not that impressive, maybe I should have got it from the parlour.

We went onto Douglas at good time. The Manx museum was good. I got some cash out, but as it turns out, it was Manx money, I had to trade it for some English money.  We walked around town and go on the ferry.

Nerdle

Someone mentioned Nerdle and I have been playing ever since.  To me, it is easier,  border line on easy.  We need to keep our brain execised!

Ripley Ice-Cream II

This time I went for the soft whipped at Ripley's, it is alright.  I still don't know why it is "world famous".

It was sunny, but damn cold! It would have been cheaper and wiser to get a hot coffee...

Chocolate Milkshake

We had another milkshake.  Way too sweet!  Maybe I should not bother.

Tagg Lane Diary

I have drove past Tagg Lane many time, and we finally make an effort to try them out.  They are indeed very nice, also one of the most expensive!

No.1 Chocolate & Hazelnut Italian Gelato

With that flavour description, you may think of a chocolate spread, but it is nothing like it.  Delicious!

Lockdown Mochi

We hadn't had much Little Moons for a long while.  And in the lockdown(s), this is almost like our go-to luxury.  Since our movement is much more restrictive, I can easily recall how much of each we bought.

In the past 8 months, we bought at least 4 packets of mochi and 4 boxes of Little Moons!

In additional to the Green Tea and Vanilla, we tried pistachio, coconut and chocolate.  By the end of this pandemic, maybe we would have worked thorough the whole range.

Nagomi Black Sesame Ice Cream

I just swooped up loads of ice-cream whilst I was in the supermarket, one of which is this Nagomi Black Sesame Ice Cream.

It is very airy, ice-creamy, insufficently seasamey.

The Milk Churn II

We stopped by the Milk Churn on a busy sunny.  The car park was quite full, and the garden was quite full, and we were lucky to find a table.  A nice day enjoying ice cream and watch some low flying kite.

Ripley Ice-cream

We finally stopped for the "World Famous" ice-cream in Ripley,  as claimed on the brown sign.  We were surprise to find the town being so busy.

To be fair,  the ice-cream was very average,  enhanced by the Sun to become better than average.

Caffe Valeria Wheldrake

When we drove to Wheldrake Ings I spotted Caffe Valeria being open.  So on the way back,  we stopped for gelato.  Sarah reckoned they better than Madison.  They were very good indeed.

Lidl Italian Icecream

I have seen those Lidl Italian icecream before,  but since I only go to Lidl enroute to gym,  I never bought them.

We finally around to trying one, our favourite coffee flavour.  It was not the most flavoursome icecream, not worth its calories as Saraa would say.

The Milk Churn

We went to the Milk Churn when it was first open with nothing but ice-cream, and we had to ask for a pint of milk.  A year later, they are now kitted out to sell a few high end dairy product, lunch and hot drink.

The ice-cream is nice, a little sweet to my taste, and it melted quick!  Maybe I should choose to go on a colder day!

Ice Cream of the Gods Not

I have been meaning to try the Hotel Chocolat ice-cream. The latest marketing tack calls it ice cream of the gods.  I wonder which gods they meant.  The ice-cream was nice, but it was not value for money.
