Chinese Influence

It could be the China-centric bias, but when I look at the Southeast Asian food, a lot of them have Chinese influences.  This does not limited to the countries with major ethnic Chinese population, such as Singapore and Malaysia, but all across, they all have a variant of fried rice noodles, Chinese broth, chicken rice.  It makes it very easy when I eat out, I could always stay within my comfort zone.
